High Winds/Late Night Storms Saturday…

😇Good News — Bad News Saturday…. 👿

🙏🏻First the good news, the consistent heavy rains are staying mostly north and west of the TRI today. Flash flooding woes will be across central/western TN/KY. However, we’re not out of the woods just yet as 1-2” are coming our way later this evening and overnight which will lead to another rise in waters along flood prone areas.

⚠️Now the bad news, High Wind Warning is in effect for the mountains of TN and a Wind Advisory for the rest of East TN. Expect gusts up to 45 mph in the valley locations and over 70 mph gusts in wind prone and mountainous areas. These downsloping winds are helping us stay dry longer today. So it’s really like a catch 22 forecast. Behind the rainfall Sunday morning, C🥶LD air rushes in diving temps from the 50s into the 30s during the afternoon hours. Light SN❄️W is possible and squalls at times later on Sunday. For now, try not to blow away!
