Joe’s 4-Day EMOJI 4-Cast features: 🌨️
Another Weekend with M❄️RE Wintry Weather…
One last round of wintry weather… for now!
Already a few flakes have been spotted around the TRI on Friday (2/6) morning. M❄️RE is dropping in later today on the heels of another Arctic front with associated clipper system. Lake effect moisture and mountain lift we will see enough energy to support, brief period of light rain/sleet between 1-3pm, then later today and especially by sunset (after dark) we will all see a chance of the flakes flying. There could be a few bursts of SN❄️W even around the TRI. The concern with any liquid is a situation like yesterday morning as lows tumble into the upper teens/lower 20s tonight creating another **FLASH FREEZE!**
Expect a coating for most to an additional inch+ around the TRI, but remember it will be slippery start to Saturday like we saw the treacherous travel on Thursday morning. Around eastern Greene, foothills of Unicoi, Carter and Johnson Counties 2-4” and mountain tops could see an additional 4-6” from this event, SN❄️W tapers off early Saturday. Wind prone areas could see gust over 40 mph later today. Over 60 mph gust in the higher elevations.

Breezy and very cold on Saturday with highs only topping out in the middle 20s. Sunday will be a nice improvement with sunshine and highs near 40°. Monday believe it or not we will kick off the work week with ABOVE average temperatures.
~Can I get a hallelujah — hip hip hooray!🥳
