JOE KNOWS GROUNDHOG’S DAY EMOJI 4-CAST:
We just had the C🥶LDEST Morning here in 11 years!
BIG NEWS OF THE DAY: PHIL & JOE KNOWS SAYS 6
MORE WEEKS OF WINTER!!! ☃️
For the first time since February 2015, the TRI Airport fell below zero! And we smashed the record of 0° set back in 1971. The official climate data comes out later, the tracker earlier indicated it was -8° for a short time before sunrise today.

For the first time since the middle of next week area wide we will warm above freezing on Tuesday afternoon. After 3pm, rain develops west to east ahead of yet another front. Temps will drop out of the 40s and back into the 30s with a mix of rain/SN❄️W Wednesday morning. We could have a period of 6-9 hours of rain falling steadily late Tuesday afternoon into the overnight. That will make for a very slushy mess, especially on secondary roads that are still snow covered. Flakes in the higher terrain taper off by Thursday morning. Another reinforcing shot of double digit below average temps expected to kick off the weekend with a few more flakes possible on Friday.
Use caution each evening this week as temps fall back below freezing causing areas of black ice!
