🎃✨ #PSL ALERT: ✨🎃 Thursday Update —

#Erin continues to be the top story Thursday. This hurricane that’s been in the news now for the past week will pull away from the coastal North Carolina region tonight and accelerate across the Atlantic. Strong rip currents along with high surf/waves/erosion will be the main impacts along much of the East Coast.

🌂Rain chances are fairly low in the valleys today, but remain elevated across the higher terrain. Noticeably breezy at times. Scattered rain chances continue Friday and especially into the weekend, but the highest chances will likely be on Sunday as a cold front approaches. Skies will be partly sunny. Humidity levels stay high through the weekend.

🎃This is where your PSL Alert comes into play…

A strong cold front will sweep through the region Sunday night. Expect a significant cool down Monday through Wednesday with highs in the comfy mid 70s, or what I call #JoeNichols weather: “Sunny and 75°!

☕️Lows will be noticeably cooler Sunday night, but MUCH cooler Monday night through Wednesday night! Lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s are possible in the valleys. Lows will likely be in the 40s in the mountains early to mid-next week!

🥶We could be within 5 degrees of record lows starting Tuesday morning (record is 50° set back in 1942), Wednesday morning (record is 46° in 1945), and we could be close to the record low next Thursday morning (48° set in 1986). #BrrrAlert

🏈Super way to kick-off College Football week!

As always, thanks for your trust Tri-Cities.
