⚡️3/13/25 WEEKEND SEVERE UPDATE…⛈️
💨FRIDAY EVENING: The main severe risk remains over west TN and along the MS River where it’s a 4 out of 5 for damaging wind or a tornado. This is a CONDITIONAL situation meaning it may not rain or storm in all locations, but where storms fire up, they could quickly become severe. Locally expecting high winds to develop ahead of Saturday’s storm system.
⚠️ENHANCED RISK (Knox, Chatt & Nash) SATURDAY - SATURDAY NIGHT: Severe storms will move across middle TN during the day and into East Tennessee and southeast Kentucky Saturday night between 10 PM and 7 AM. The MAIN RISK = DAMAGING WINDS 70 mph, or greater in wind prone areas. Dew-points in the 50s should keep the tornado risk fairly low here in East Tennessee. It’s a little higher around Nashville where dewpoints go above 60° Saturday afternoon and evening. Flash flooding, hail and cloud to ground lightning likely in stronger cells late Saturday evening/overnight. Some areas could pick up 1-2” of rainfall.
Severe thunderstorm warnings are likely in many of these areas for high winds, stay weather alert, especially if you were going to the SEC tournament in Nashville. When You Need To Know: #JoeKnowsWX #TNwx #VAwx #NCwx #KYwx #SevereWeather #SpringStorms #AppalachianStrong #JoeKnowsSnow
