Smokies, Eastern Greene, Unicoi, Carter and Johnson Counties. Several inches of accumulating snowfall is expected on the heels of the Arctic Air Sunday.

Life threatening Wind Chills develop overnight Sunday into Monday. It could feel as low as -15° BELOW ZERO Sunday night, as winds gust over 40 MPH. 🥶

🌨️Have a plan for outdoor pets, protect any exposed outdoor pipes and check on the elderly, please make sure they have heat, food and water. The SN❄️W that falls Sunday will stick around through most of next week. Expect dangerously C🥶LD, sub-freezing temps to continue through Thursday morning. The Winter WX Advisory will likely expand into the valley floor locations of the TRI, as I’m expecting a couple inches to fall even in the metro.
