⚠️WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY⚠️ TRI & SW VA

TONIGHT — MONDAY MORNING Occasional SN❄️W and incoming C🥶LD will make for slick spots and slippery travel. Use caution if you have to be out.

🚨WINTER STORM WARNING🚨 Higher terrain Smokies, eastern Greene, Unicoi, Carter and Johnson Counties. Some of these aforementioned counties could pick up 3”-7” of SN❄️W fall and double digit amounts up-top! 🏔️

TIMING: Mountains will turn over to SN❄️W by sunrise… TRI-Cities best chance will arrive mid-morning through mid-afternoon with a flash freeze, causing roadways area wide to become treacherous. Travel is not advised Sunday afternoon as these squalls move through our region.

🥶EXTREME COLD WATCH🥶 AREA WIDE — Sunday Night through Monday afternoon as wind chill factors could go below zero at times! Dress in layers if you have to go out as temps will be stuck in the single digits and teens. 😬

We won’t rise above freezing until at least Thursday afternoon!
